Kia Launches in India

Kia is the second largest carmaker in its own country, delivering a growth of 28% in the last month. India's market will be mostly looking for economy and compact models. It is expected that Kia will present to India its Picanto and Proceed hatchback along with the Rio and Cerato sedans.
Kia hopes to represent themselves well, and wants 'to arise to the world from Asia,' at least according to their integral motif behind this business decision.
Procuring components will not pose any sort of complication, thanks to help from Hyundai, also popular in India. The only drawback could be branding; Hyundai is keen on retaining its individual branding. Hyundai and Kia Dealers will have to separate identity for both brands. The manufacturing plants will also have to be separate, unlike in other markets, due to the capacity constraints faced by Hyundai currently.
It seems that Kia has been in the shadow of Hyundai for years after. But in fact the two have grown to become great business partners. Their "Tiger Face" design on the front end of new Kia models is a joint practice between the two companies, although Kia intends to get relieved of with its own upcoming design.
