Kia has officially launched the all-new 2011 Forte5-Door. The model is based on Kia's new and already wildly popular Forte compact sedan and Forte Koup 2-door.

"The Forte5-Door is another key ingredient to the design-led transformation that Kia Motors is currently in the midst of," said Maria Soklis, chief operating officer of Kia Canada Inc. "The Forte5-Door provides Canadians the practicality and utility that is expected from our already successful Forte lineup."

The second quarter of 2010 has been a fantastic period in Kia's 18 year history. The company reached a new sales quota after strong June results. Kia has now sold 93,373 units in one quarter, a best for the Korean auto maker.

So far this year, Kia sold 33,467 Fortes, one of their newest models. 7,467 of those were purchased in June. Given the awards and accolades the Forte vehicle has earned, the numbers should not surprise.
